Salary $25.54- $26.78 per hour
The Warranty and Repair Specialist serve a dual role in managing customer service, processing warranty claims, and executing physical repairs. This position is responsible for diagnosing equipment failures, accurately documenting work scope, and restoring commercial truck bodies to peak operational condition while minimizing customer downtime. Overseeing complex repairs and restoration projects for a variety of truck bodies. In this position, you'll leverage your extensive experience in vehicle body repair and ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Essential Functions

Warranty Administration: Review warranty coverage, validate defects, and prepare detailed claims for the manufacturer. Obtain pre-approvals, track claim statuses, and reconcile accounts for replaced parts and labor.
Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for clients reporting equipment issues. Explain repair scopes, provide accurate estimates, and coordinate repair schedules to ensure customer satisfaction.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Inspect damaged or malfunctioning truck bodies, hydraulic systems, liftgates, cranes, PTO’s, dumps, water trucks and electrical accessories to determine the root cause and necessary repair path.
Physical Repair & Fabrication: Perform hands-on repair work including welding, metal fabrication, panel replacement, and hydraulic/pneumatic system troubleshooting.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all work orders, time sheets, and service reports are complete, legible, and compliant with safety, DOT, and manufacturer guidelines.

Competencies
Strong understanding of hydraulics, 12V electrical systems, pneumatics, welding (MIG), and heavy equipment.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, multi-task, work independently and make informed/ correct decisions using best quality practices.
Broad knowledge of service and warranty principles, practices and procedures.
Great at time management, organizational and planning skills in order to maintain schedules.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop production environment. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures. Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions and/or working outdoors exposed to all weather conditions.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs periodically. Requires bending, twisting, walking, repetitive movement, standing, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Occasional Saturdays and overtime can be required. If overtime and/or Saturdays are requested, it will be mandatory.
Required Education and Experience
• 2+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair, trailer maintenance, or truck body upfitting
• Proficiency in welding (MIG), hydraulic systems, 12V DC electrical systems, and pneumatics.
• Customer service experience preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Must pass Scelzi’ s pre-employment drug test, and physical.
