ELECTRICAL - WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLER

Salary $17-$18.50 per hour

Assemble all wiring harness to help speed up production. Responsibilities includes reading diagrams or wire list to determine materials needed. Selects wires of specified color, marking, or length. Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness. Attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device. Test wiring continuity, using continuity tester.

• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Select and assemble electrical parts following schematic drawings and using hand.
• Assemble electrical components, subsystems, or systems.
• Bolt objects into place.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Automatic wire strippers.
• Handheld wire strippers.

Work Environment
This job operates in a shop production environment. Requires face to face discussions with individuals or teams. Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people. Requires being exact or highly accurate. Requires meeting strict deadlines.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically. Requires bending, twisting, walking, repetitive movement, standing, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Requires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or strings. Requires exposure to hazardous equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Required Education and Experience
3-6 months + experience selecting correct wires and tools.
3-6 months + experience in using mathematics to solve problems
3-6 months + experience in time management.

Preferred Education and Experience
Automotive Electrical work experience
Experience in reading diagrams and work related documents
