Assembler Description
Salary $17-$22 per hour

Worker will remove/add tags or marks and move finished work. Move workpieces, tools, and supplies, manually or with overhead crane. Pick up scrap from all work areas. Candidate must be able to work independently and follow oral and written directions.
Essential Functions

Create/assemble rods, misc. parts as per work order specs.
Measure, cut, grind, bend, and punch holes in materials.
Install door rubber, latches, locks, roller drawers, open tops.
Remove or add tags/markings to materials
Move materials manually or with overhead crane.
Must have some knowledge in basic tool usage such as ratchets, wrenches, pliers, sockets etc.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Picks up scrap from work areas.
Maintain work area clean and free of hazards.
Competencies
Proficient in reading a measuring tape.
Mechanically inclined.
Basic knowledge of math i.e. addition, subtraction.
Must be able to learn quickly and work efficiently.
Must be able to understand and read work orders.
Must be able to select correct tools and/parts.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop production environment. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in a very hot (above 90 degrees) or very cold (below 32 degrees) temperatures. Requires work with orders in a group or team. Requires coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities. Includes responsibility for the health and safety of others. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs periodically. Requires bending, twisting, walking, repetitive movement, standing using handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Requires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings. Requires exposure to hazardous equipment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Occasional Saturdays and overtime can be required. If overtime and/or Saturdays are requested, it will be mandatory.
Required Education and Experience 6 months of industrial, construction, or general labor experience. Basic knowledge in hand power tools.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must pass basic math test including reading a measuring tape. Must pass pre-employement drug test, and physical.
