Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant I is responsible for all transactional Human Resources functions. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as: keep employee personnel records, record data for employees, such as address, absences, training documents, organize documents by scanning, filing, assisting applicants who walks in.
Essential Functions/Position purpose
  1. 1.Assist HR Team by educating and communicating company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
  2. 2.Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits and other pertinent information.
  3. 3.Maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as entering new hires to ADP, reviewing completed new hire packets, track / log attendance issues, input time off request on to company calendar, update employee transfers, log write ups, and log training documents.
  4. 4.Follow up with supervisors regarding training papers being turned in.
  5. 5.Assist with the onboarding process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications and eligibility of applicants.
  6. 6.Respond to applicant inquires in-person, over the phone and via email.
  7. 7.Assist in setting up interviews and appointments.
  8. 8.Assist with quarterly internal I9 audits.
  9. 9.Assist in issuing forklift certifications, and inform supervisors when certifications are about to expire.
  10. 10.Scan and file documents as needed.
  11. 11.Perform other duties as assigned.

  5. 5.Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures.

  7. 7.Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
  8. 8.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlooks and Power Point is essential
  9. 9.Able to type at least 45 words per minute
  10. 10.Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; requires sitting, bending, twisting, walking, repetitive movement, and standing, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. Days are Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
  1. 1.At least 2 years’ experience in administrative office work
  2. 2.At least 2 year of customer service experiences
  3. 3.Type at least 45 words per minute
  4. 4.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must pass a pre-placement Drug Test
